Key Benefits of Judo

Improved Physical Fitness

Judo is a great all round physical activity which helps with strength, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning. Regular practice can help improve stamina, endurance, coordination, balance, learning to fall safely and overall fitness.

Mental Discipline

Judo involves learning techniques including throws and hold-downs, using strategies to compete against opponents whilst instilling respect, discipline and etiquette that are synonymous with judo. Practicing judo helps to develop focus, perseverance, and mental well-being.

Improved Confidence

Judo can help boost your confidence and self-esteem, as you learn new skills and overcome challenges. By achieving small victories in training and competition, you can gain a sense of accomplishment that carries over into other areas of your life.

 Stress Relief

Judo training can help reduce stress and anxiety, as it provides a healthy outlet for physical and mental energy. By focusing on your training, you can release tension and improve your overall sense of well-being.

Social Benefits

Judo is a social activity that can help you make new friends and connect with like-minded people. By training with others, you can develop a sense of camaraderie and community that can be both rewarding and motivating. Our club is run solely by volunteers including the coaches, players and parents who together run the committee and organize social events for players and their families.
